The Western Ontario Division (WOD) is one of six divisions of the Canadian Canoe Association, which was formed in 1900. WOD is also a member of the Ontario Canoe Sprint Racing Affiliation of Canoe Ontario  and a member of the Dominion Day Regatta Association.

Through the years, WOD has been an integral part of the development  of the sport. Several members from WOD clubs have been nominated to the National Team and competed successfully at the national and  international levels.
